Yes, it’s true. Afro Tourism is going on an exciting and adventurous 5-day road trip from Lagos all the way to Accra. We’ll be travelling with young, social media savvy and adventurous Nigerians this December; and it’s going to be fun, fun and fun all the way!
To be a part of this experience, there are important things to know.
First, it is a low budget, backpacking and adventure trip, so there are no luxuries. We recommend shorts, boots, caps, sunshades and other basic stuff. It is best to travel light so as not to be slowed down by heavy luggage. We will be on the road almost every day.
To join us, you need to have an ECOWAS/International Passport. Don’t have one? Not to worry. Just visit the nearest immigration office to you and they’ll get you one within a few days.
With that handy, we’re all set to depart Lagos on Wednesday, December 21. The train will be meandering through amazing West African cities such as Cotonou (Republic of Benin) and Lome (Togo) before arriving Accra (Ghana) hours later, same day.
We’ll be staying in Accra’s best dormitory hotels. Yes, you heard that right: dormitory hotels. They’re safe, cute and lovely. What’s a low budget backpacker trip without a dormitory hotel?! And what’s more, you’ll enjoy WiFi and sumptuous Ghanaian breakfasts at no extra cost.
So we move on from Accra to Cape Coast the following day and then to Takoradi. At Cape coast and Takoradi, we’ll be exploring exciting historical places of interest such as the Elmina castle, Prince Town and the pristine beaches at Takoradi, among others. We return to Accra by Christmas Eve so we can spend Christmas Day in Ghana’s beautiful capital city. Now, there’s so much to see and do here that you’ll be yearning to stay one more day when it’s time to depart on Monday, December 26. And we will be back in Lagos, same day.
To be a part of this trip, you’ll need to pay a discounted fee of N100,000. Deadline for payment is November 30.
The fee jerks up to N150,000 from December 1.
Please SMS +234 803 442 1195 for payment details.
Finally, this trip will be documented by our media team. So it’s a great opportunity to be a part of something big! We’re so excited. Can’t wait to have you on board!!!
