1. Tell us your childhood experience and how it has shaped you?
Answer: Growing up as the third child in a family of five, I was fortunate to be raised by parents who, despite adhering to Muslim values, prioritized giving us the freedom to pursue our dreams. This upbringing instilled in me a sense of confidence and creativity from an early age.
My parents’ approach was marked by unwavering love and respect for our individual interests. They encouraged me to explore various activities and hobbies, fostering an environment where I felt empowered to express myself freely. This support extended beyond academics; I eagerly joined the debate club and immersed myself in other social clubs at school.
Being able to participate in these activities not only enriched my childhood but also contributed significantly to my personal growth. It allowed me to discover my strengths, develop critical thinking skills, and build lasting friendships. Moreover, it instilled in me a deep sense of fulfillment and purpose, knowing that I was actively pursuing my passions with the backing of my family.
Reflecting on my childhood experiences, I can see how they have shaped my identity and outlook on life. The freedom to explore and the encouragement to follow my interests have been foundational in shaping my confidence and creativity. Answer: Over the years, the movie industry has undergone significant transformations:
Technological advancements have revolutionized filmmaking, making it more accessible and cost-effective with digital cameras and CGI.
Globalization and digital distribution have expanded the reach of films, allowing them to reach global audiences instantly via streaming platforms.
There’s a noticeable shift towards diversity and inclusion in storytelling, reflecting a broader range of voices and perspectives on screen.
Social media has transformed how films are marketed and interacted with, fostering direct engagement between filmmakers and audiences.
Audience habits have changed with the rise of on-demand streaming and mobile viewing, influencing content creation and delivery.

3. What area do you feel Nollywood need to improve, and why?
Answer: There are several areas where Nollywood, the Nigerian film industry, could benefit from improvement to enhance its quality, reach, and sustainability:
1. **Production Quality**: Improving production standards in terms of cinematography, sound design, editing, and overall technical execution can elevate the industry's output to compete more effectively on the global stage. Investing in modern equipment and training for crew members is crucial.
2. **Script Development**: Strengthening scriptwriting capabilities can lead to more compelling narratives, nuanced characters, and thought-provoking themes. Emphasizing the importance of well-developed scripts can enhance storytelling and audience engagement.
3. **Distribution and Exhibition**: Developing efficient distribution channels and expanding access to international markets can increase the visibility and profitability of Nigerian films globally. This includes leveraging digital platforms and exploring strategic partnerships for wider distribution.
4. **Infrastructure and Support**: Building and maintaining infrastructure such as studios, post-production facilities, and specialized training centers can provide essential resources for filmmakers and nurture talent development within the industry.

4. Do you think the Nigeria government has done enough to support the creative industry?
Answer: No, I don’t believe the Nigerian government has done enough to adequately support the creative industry. While there have been some efforts and initiatives aimed at promoting the arts and entertainment sectors, significant challenges and gaps remain.
The creative industry in Nigeria, which encompasses film, music, literature, fashion, and more, is vibrant and holds immense potential for economic growth, job creation, and cultural enrichment. However, it faces various hurdles such as inadequate infrastructure, limited funding opportunities, piracy issues, and a lack of supportive policies and frameworks.
5. Do awards mean anything to you and have they been coming?
Answer: Awards do hold significance for me as they often represent recognition and validation of one’s work and achievements within a specific field or industry. They serve as milestones that highlight dedication, creativity, and excellence, and can boost morale and confidence.
Regarding whether awards have been coming, I can share that recognition through awards has been sporadic. While I value the acknowledgment and encouragement that awards bring, I also understand that success in any creative field involves many factors beyond awards alone. Consistency, growth, and making a positive impact in the industry and community are equally important to me.
Ultimately, while awards are a meaningful form of recognition, they are not the sole measure of success or fulfillment in my career. I strive to focus on continuous improvement, learning, and contributing positively to my craft and industry, regardless of external validation. This perspective helps me maintain motivation and perspective on my professional journey.
6. How do you unwind/relax?
One of my favorite ways to unwind is by immersing myself in new environments. Whether it’s exploring a nearby park, visiting a quaint café, or taking a leisurely stroll through a bustling city street, the change of scenery brings a sense of freshness and tranquility. I find solace in observing new surroundings, appreciating different architecture, and simply being present in the moment.
Another indispensable method for me to relax is through music. Music has a remarkable ability to transport me to a place of calmness and introspection. I enjoy creating playlists that cater to my mood, whether I need soothing melodies to unwind after a hectic day or upbeat tunes to lift my spirits. 7. Growing up, did you have to pattern your life after some role models?
Answer: Growing up, I didn’t pattern my life after specific role models in the traditional sense. Instead, I embraced the idea of being unique and true to myself. While many people look up to influential figures or celebrities as role models, I found inspiration in different ways.
One individual who particularly influenced me through her work is Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi. I admire her exceptional talent and the way she brings characters to life on screen. Her ability to interpret diverse roles with depth and authenticity resonates deeply with me. Watching her performances sparked my admiration for the art of storytelling and acting.
Although I didn’t pattern my entire life after her, Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi’s dedication to her craft and the impact she has made in the entertainment industry left a lasting impression on me. She serves as a reminder of the power of passion and perseverance in pursuing one’s dreams.
Ultimately, my upbringing encouraged me to carve out my own path and define success on my terms. While I appreciate and respect the achievements of others, including figures like Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi, my journey has been about embracing my uniqueness and striving to make a meaningful impact in my own way.
7. What's your greatest fear in life? Answer: My greatest fear in life revolves around the prospect of experiencing poverty. The fear of financial instability and the inability to provide for myself and my loved ones weighs heavily on my mind. This fear drives me to work hard, make prudent financial decisions, and continuously strive for personal and professional growth.I believe that financial security is crucial for achieving stability and independence. It enables me to pursue my goals, support my family, and contribute positively to society. BBL involves a surgical procedure to enhance the shape and size of the buttocks using fat transfer techniques.While BBL is not inherently negative, it’s crucial to prioritize safety and thorough research. Choosing a qualified and experienced surgeon is paramount to minimize risks and achieve desirable outcomes. Ensuring the procedure is performed in a reputable medical facility with adherence to strict safety protocols is also essential.11. Do you intend doing BBL in future? Answer: Yes, I have been seriously considering undergoing a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) in the near future, and I believe it’s something I’d like to pursue very soon. For me, investing in enhancing my body shape through procedures like BBL feels like a positive choice. I see it as a way to utilize resources to achieve the physical appearance that aligns with my personal vision of beauty and confidence.I believe there’s no shame in using financial resources to enhance one’s appearance, especially if it contributes to a greater sense of self-esteem and satisfaction. However, I also understand the importance of thorough research and careful planning before undergoing any cosmetic procedure.My decision to consider BBL is rooted in a desire to feel more comfortable and confident in my own skin. I recognize that choosing the right surgeon and ensuring safety measures are in place are crucial steps in this process. What’s your take on Sex for role?
Answer: I’ve come across numerous accounts from female actors who have spoken out about the pressures and challenges they face, including instances where they’ve been expected to engage in sexual favors in exchange for roles. This issue deeply troubles me, and I find it disheartening that such practices exist within the industry.
Fortunately, I have not personally experienced this situation. I believe firmly in meritocracy and professionalism in any workplace, including the entertainment industry. Talent, dedication, and hard work should be the criteria for success, not coercion or exploitation.
It’s essential to foster an environment where all individuals, regardless of gender or background, can pursue their careers based on their skills and abilities. Respecting boundaries, promoting equality, and advocating for a safe and respectful work environment are fundamental principles that I strongly support.
While I haven’t encountered this specific challenge myself, I stand in solidarity with those who have and believe in the importance of creating awareness and advocating for change. Everyone deserves to pursue their passion and thrive in a workplace free from discrimination, harassment, or exploitation.
13. Have u ever being harassed in the industry?
Answer Yes, there was an unfortunate incident last year where I experienced harassment from a senior colleague on the set of a project at Aba Alfa. It was a challenging situation that affected me deeply and required navigating with sensitivity and resolve.
Harassment in any form is unacceptable, and it’s crucial to address such issues promptly and effectively. While I cannot go into details, I can say that dealing with this experience has reinforced my commitment to promoting a safe and respectful work environment for everyone in the industry.
Instances like this underscore the importance of speaking out against misconduct and supporting measures that protect individuals from harassment and discrimination. It’s essential to foster a culture where professionalism and mutual respect are upheld, ensuring that all participants can focus on their craft without fear of mistreatment.
14. Any incoming projects or collaborations
Answer: Currently, I am excited about several upcoming projects and potential collaborations that are in the pipeline. While I can’t disclose specific details at this moment, I am actively exploring opportunities to work with talented individuals and organizations within the industry.
